Walk To School Week

Two of our Pupil Leadership groups, our Junior Safety Officers and our Eco Council, joined forces to plan a Walking to School Week celebration. They tasked pupils with a 5 Day Walking Challenge and rewarded them with a sticker for every day they walked a full or partial journey. The scores (both individual and class) were tallied, and participation scores shared across school.

Despite the poor weather conditions the Walking to School Week was a huge success. The pupils and their families were very enthusiastic in supporting Walking to School and shared many photographs with us of the fun they had on the way. The pupils also reported a huge decrease in the traffic, enabling everyone to walk safely to school and also giving our neighbours and the wider community a little light relief from the traffic!

Our Pupil Leadership Teams enable our children the chance to have leadership within our school, ensuring that their voices and opinions are heard. We are moulding leaders of the future, ready for work, ready for the world. We strive to craft confident and articulate leaders who can share their views to any audience and apply their leadership skills to real life situations.

During this week we also held a 'Be Bright, Be Seen' competition, with so many fabulous designs to choose from.

Below are our winning designs!
