This page has been put together to point you in the direction of some of the support available within our school and within Halton. Through our community-based groups, programmes, and opportunities that raise awareness; develop skills; share learning experiences; and build confidence, we support children, young people, and families living with neurodevelopmental conditions, learning difficulties and associated mental health needs.

H​alton Carers

Halton Carers’ Centre is a network partner of the Carers Trust. We work to reach unpaid young & adult carers and develop services for them across the borough. This website explains our services and how they can help you to manage your caring role confidentially, have some time for yourself and stay well.

Halton Families Information Service (FIS) is a free, impartial service giving detailed information on local childcare and a wide range of services for children and young people aged 0-19 years and their families in Halton.

P​arents in Mind

If you are feeling low, anxious, disinterested in your usual activities and are pregnant or within two years of giving birth, then our friendly, welcoming support may be for you. Our trained peer supporters can offer time and support through the Parents in Mind groups running in the local area.

A welcome, friendly, safe space is available to meet others going through similar experiences, seek information, talk things through, or simply relax.

Babies and toddlers welcome.

R​elationKit

E​veryone needs a hand with their relationship sometimes. Explore this site for content on some really common things like struggling to communicate well with your partner, raising kids together, and parenting after break-up.

S​chool uniform Swap Shop

All parents are familiar with the large expense of school uniforms and know too well that children very quickly outgrow their school wear. Our 'Swap Shop' allows families to donate their uniform that is no longer needed and if they need to, collect a new uniform from us.

S​olihull Approach

At school, we run the Understanding you child’s behaviour group following the Solihull approach.
The groups are for parents and carers who want to know more about parenting and how children develop, and to understand children’s behaviour better

T​hink Wellbeing

Think Wellbeing offers free NHS therapy for people in Halton with common mental health problems like anxiety or depression, to help you change the way you feel by changing the way you think.

Widnes Foodbank

Widnes Foodbank is working to stop local hunger and poverty. The foodbank provides emergency food and support to people in crisis.

Young Minds have lots of practical advice and tips on supporting your child - from how to encourage your child to open up about their feelings to dealing with mental health services. No matter what you and your child are going through, things can get better.
